Not every couple wants 200 guests and a ballroom. Stephanie Singleton built a business on the ones who do not. Her micro-venue, A Princess For A Day, is an elegant Victorian-style banquet hall that handles small weddings, elopement ceremonies, and birthdays, and it can take up to 10 weddings in a week. Any slot left over goes to whoever wants to throw something smaller: Singles Nights, Game Nights, themed parties, mixers. Most of the room is neutral, so couples pick the colour scheme and she works to it.
She designs to the occasion, not to a formula. A Singles Night gets darker colours and a grown-up feel. A children's party gets brighter colours and more imagery. Whatever the piece, the key details go on it, and she checks it reads at a glance. She reuses the same design hard, resizing her posters into billboards, standees, and business cards. Because the venue sits inside a Holiday Inn, she puts the hotel's address alongside her own and promotes its events in return.
A save the date works on exactly that logic. Keep it to four things: your names, the date, the city, and a line telling guests the invitation will follow. Pick colours from the palette you have chosen for the day, save them in a Brand Kit so the invitation matches months later, and resize the same design into a card for the post and a square for your feed.
